MEN’S
CLUB MEETING
A special meeting for the Men’s Club is
scheduled for Wednesday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM at St.
Martha. All men from both
parishes are
encouraged to attend.

The Knights of Columbus will celebrate a
Corporate Communion at St. Joseph Church, January 27th,
at the 9:00 AM Mass. All are invited to attend and men
interested in Knight membership are encouraged
to speak to other members on the process.
FOOD
DRIVE
Please continue to support our food drive this
weekend. Our parish food collections are every 3rd Sunday
and we serve the food pantry at Our Lady of the Angels in
Taylor. Please be as generous as you are able. Thank you.

To the Women of St. Martha/St. Joseph, Thank you
for the generous contribution of food donated to Our Lady
of the Angels Food Pantry on behalf of the women of St.
Martha/St. Joseph Catholic Church. The kindness and
generosity demonstrated by your group enables us to
provide nourishing food to those who come to our pantry
for help so they can prepare healthy meals for their
families. Your care and concern are greatly appreciated.

The Detroit
Archdiocese, like many dioceses across the country, is encouraging
medically sound practices to help mitigate the potential
spread of flu viruses. Our recommendations are in line
with what you’ve likely seen and heard from media
outlets in recent days: practicing
common sense, covering your mouth should you need to
sneeze or cough, and staying home if you are sick. As it
related to gatherings in church, such as a Mass, we
remind you that it is perfectly acceptable to forego a
handshake at the “Sign of Peace,” as well as to drink
from the common cup at communion. Please keep in your
prayers those who are ill with the flu, and those health
care professionals who tend to the ill.
